The 30th Anniversary of the classic comedy film, Clueless, goes on tour to theaters across the nation. Hitting multiple cities from San Jose in July to right here in Denver! This show includes an exclusive Q&A session with the leading lady, Alicia Silverstone, where she gives background details on the making of the film in the mid 90s, and until now, unheard backstage gossip!
Filmed in 1994, and released in 1995, Clueless, was a modern day adaptation of of Jane Austen’s 1815 novel, Emma. Following the life of our plucky heroine, the 1990s Beverly Hills teen, Cher Horowitz. Along with Alicia Silverstone as Cher Horowitz, the film starred Paul Rudd as Josh, Stacey Dash as Dionne, Brittany Murphy as Tai, and more famous kids in the 90s like Donald Faison and Breckin Meyer.
Praised for comedy, and unique take on 90s teen culture, it even set new fashion trends for many years after. The film was Alicia Silverstone’s breakout performance, earning her an MTV Movie Awards for Best Female Performance and Most Desirable Female.
Breaking out into the major acting scene at aged 18, Alicia Silverstone’s performance as Cher Horowitz earned her masses of acclaim and set her up to be a female 90s icon. Before Clueless, she had acted in notable music videos for the songs “Cryin’,” “Amazing,” and “Crazy,” for Aerosmith, which directly led to signup for the role.
Reprising her role as Cher, Alicia is set to act in the television sequel coming later this year, or early 2026. Beyond Clueless she has appeared as Batgirl in Batman & Robin (1997) and more recently in Reptile (2023) with Benicio Del Toro, plus, is set to star in the upcoming 2025 Netflix holiday film A Merry Little Ex-Mas
