THE PLOT

What happens when two people from different social classes meet and fall in love? Noah Calhoun and his wife Allie, who is suffering from Alzheimer’s. Allie struggles to remember her life with Noah, but her husband reads a love story to his wife that will help her remember him. Coming from a wealthy family, young Allie falls in love with a working class a boy named Noah. Their relationship blossoms but things take a turn when Allie and Noah have a big argument and Allie’s parents show their disapproval over Noah being not good enough. A decade later, Noah, now a war veteran, comes back to buy the house he always wanted to own in hopes to bring Allie back. However, Allie is engaged to a wealthy man named Lon. The production is going on tour for the very first time this 2025 and the outing includes over 30 stops in major cities, including Denver, Colorado. THE CREATIVE TEAM & CAST

The original story was written by famed New York Times Bestseller, Nicholas Spark. The Notebooks was published in 1996 as a novel but would later gain a film adaptation in 2002. A decade later, the stage adaptation finally ended up on Broadway. The musical features outstanding storyline by playwright Bekah Brunstetter and music and lyrics by Emmy nominated composer Ingrid Michaelson. The production also featured amazing work by scenic designers Tony winner David Zinn and Brett Banakis, Tony winning costume designer Paloma Young, Tony nominated lighting designer Ben Stanton, and Tony winning sound designer Nevin Steinberg. The musical was notably directed by Michael Greif and Schele Williams and choreographed by Katie Spellman.
