We present the classic PG-13 action-adventure film, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl live to film as the legendary score is performed live by the entire score written by Klaus Badelt and Hans Zimmer on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at 7:30pm as the master score is performed LIVE in its entirety by the virtuosic music of Christopher Dragon and the Colorado Symphony at the Temple Hoyne Buell theater in Denver, Colorado. 

Colorado Symphony Orchestra

The Colorado Symphony is the resident orchestra of the Denver Performing Arts Complex and presents classical, pops, rock, jazz, and a wide array of other musical performances throughout the year. The Symphony performs famous film series with live complete score such as the Pirates of the Caribbean series.

The musicians of the Colorado Symphony perform music with passion and artistry in famous venues such as Boettcher Hall, home of the Colorado Symphony, and Boettcher Concert Hall. The Resident Conductor of the musicians is Australian artist Christopher Dragon who has worked with the orchestra since the 2015/16 season.

For this special performance of the Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl live-to-film event the musicians of the CSO will perform at the Buell theater instead of Boettcher Concert Hall. Experience the best of classical and popular music performed live by one of the country’s finest symphony orchestras.

Temple Hoyne Buell Theatre Details

The Temple Hoyne Buell theatre is located at 1350 Curtis Street, Denver, CO 80202, within the Denver Performing Arts Complex. The Buell is the premier theater in DPAC with seating for 2,843 patrons making it one of the highest-grossing theaters in the country for houses under 5,000 seats. The venue’s seating is divided into the Orchestra, Mezzanine and Balcony sections, and includes accommodations for patrons that require them.

The Buell has concessions throughout the house, as well as an in-house bar. Food is available pre- and post- concert at Prelude + Post, an upscale casual restaurant located directly across from the Buell. Kevin Taylor’s at the Opera House, an upscale restaurant serving dinner, is open for cocktails and dinner on select performance evenings located in the Galleria between the Ellie Caulkins Opera House and the Boettcher Concert Hall.

Parking Details

The Arts Complex is a paid parking lot. An 8 story garage is open to patrons with approximately 1,700 spaces. The cost to park in the Arts Complex lot is $8 per day. There are two entrance points to the garage located on the following streets: Arapahoe St between 13th and 14th Streets. If you are planning to attend the Pirates event, there is plenty of street parking and public parking lots in downtown Denver. There is NO free parking in the Arts Complex.
